IN THIS POSITION WHITE WIN IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE SO WE TRY TO DRAW. 1. R x c 6 + Rxc6+ .BLACK HAS TO KILL THE ROOK AS IF HE DOES NOT THEN HE CAN LOSE.2. Q c 2 + Qc2+ BLACK HAS TO KILL THE QUEEN AS IF HE DOES NOT THEN HE CAN LOSE.THEN IT IS STALEMATE

I saw the forced draw with Rxc6, but thought there was a better option.

It seems to me that Qg2+ offers many winning chances (if blocked by the rook), or a draw at worst by capturing the rook on c6 with the double attack. Probably I'm not seeing something subtle.

It would be helpful if someone could point out why this move is not as good.

take help of an engine. but the king can move 1 rank back and u will then take the rook attacking only the queen.then black rook and queen will kill your king.
