The Higgs boson has spin-0 and the Z Z boson has spin-1 , so neither may have spin- 1 2 . \frac12.

Th strange quark does participate in strong interactions when it binds to other quarks to form composite particles.

This leaves only the tau particle that, as a lepton , does not participate in strong interactions.
