Angle made by hour hand at 3:15 with reference to when it is at 12 = (360 deg / 12) * 3 + (15 min / 60 min) * (360 deg/ 12) = 97.5 deg

Angle made by minute hand = (360 deg/ 60 min) * 15 min = 90 deg

Net Angle = 97.5 - 90 = 7.5 deg
