Colourings cube

Logic Level 3

A regular cube is to have 2 faces coloured red, 2 faces coloured blue and 2 faces coloured orange. We consider two colourings to be the same if one can be obtained by a rotation of the cube from another. How many different colourings are there? (This is a question from SMO contest)

Nice question and solution. I was able to understand your solution but only because I solved the question. You should clearly show the different cases in the diagram(maybe draw lines between them?). Also, explain the solution in a couple lines(at least about what the dots and lines mean)
