Pi. D=56, a+b+c+d=D, Pi(a+b+c +d) =pi . D, Sum of circumference of smaller circles =pi. 56/pi=56

We have the 2 r π 2r\pi for every single one. This means that if you add the radii (or the diameters) of the smaller circles to form that one you also add the circumferences to also get that of the larger one. SO you'd get the same circumference as the larger circle.
