Use the Pythagoras theorem

h^2 = p^2 + b^2 ( p = b)

h^2 = 1^2 + 1^2

h^2 = 1 + 1

h^2 = 2

h = 2 ^ (1/2)

the value of square root 2 or 2 ^ (1/2) is 1.414..............................

Rounding off

Since, the tenth digit is 4

The answer is 1

Consider triangle ABC,

(AC)^2 = (AB)^2+(BC)^2

(AC)^2 = 1^2 + 1^2

(AC)^2 = 2

 AC  = √2

  AC  = 1.414

i.e AC = 1

Therefore, the answer is 1
