If parabolas x = y 2 + a y + b x= y^{2} + ay+b and x = y ( c y ) x= y(c-y) touch each other at (0,1) then find the value of b + c b+c .

By substituting the points one gets the solution for c.....and one can differentiate the two equation and equate the slope at (0,1) to get the value of a and then value of b is a piece of cake! I hope that helps :)
