Because the time for the girl and dog moving is the same. So dog moves the distance is: 100 × 5 0.5 = 1000 m = 1 k m 100 \times \frac{5}{0.5}=1000m=\boxed{1km}

{Time girl take to reach the boy= DISTANCE/SPEED=100/0.5 sec= 200 second = Time of dog keep running}

{Distance travel by dog= SPEEDXTIME=5X200 meter =1000 meter(1KM)}
