Pizza Deal

Luigi's Pizzeria is offering a special deal: Buy any small 10-inch Neopolitan Pizza, and you get a second one, half the price. Their 10-inch pizzas cost $7, and their 14-inch pizzas cost $10. Which is the better deal?

But buying two small 10 10 inch pizzas will cost $ 10.5 \$10.5 .

The area of those pizzas is 2 × 25 π = 50 π 2\times 25\pi= 50\pi .

The price of the 14 14 inch pizza is $ 10 \$10 and its area is 49 π 49\pi .

Looking at it in this perspective, both deals are the same. In the former one, we are paying half a dollar more but at the same time we have one inch more of pizza.

Hmm, you do bring up a good point.
