A man has to give ₹5.20 to the bus conductor for a ticket. He has unlimited number of coins of ₹1, 25 paise and 20 paise. What is the difference between the maximum number of coins that he can give and the minimum number of coins that he can give, if he has to give atleast one coin of each denomination ?

FOR MAXIMUM NUMBER OF COINS :
number of ₹1 coin = 1 = ₹1
number of 25 paise coin = 4 = ₹1
and number of 20 paise coin = 16 = ₹3.20
therefore total number of coins = 21 = ₹5.20
FOR MINIMUM NUMBER OF COINS:
number of ₹1 coin = 4 = ₹4
number of 25 paise coin = 4 = ₹1
and number of 20 paise coin = 1= ₹.20
therefore total number of coins = 9 = ₹5.20
therefore diff. b/w maximum and minimum = 21-9 = 12
