Any past event would, by definition, provide a definite outcome as uncertainty is eliminated upon occurrence of the event under observation. Therefore, if it did rain yesterday, then P ( R a i n ) = 1 P(Rain) = 1 . If it did not, then P ( R a i n ) = 0 P(Rain) = 0 .
