Let x 3 = A , x 3 = B \sqrt[3]{x}=A, \sqrt[3]{x}=B then; A 3 = x , B 3 = y A^3=x, B^3=y and A B = 4 A-B=4 A 3 B 3 = ( A B ) 3 + 3 A B ( A B ) A^3-B^3=(A-B)^3+3AB(A-B) 4 = 4 3 + 3 × x y 3 × 4 4=4^3+3\times \sqrt[3]{xy}\times 4 4 = 64 + 12 × x y 3 4=64+12\times\sqrt[3]{xy} x y 3 = 5 \Rightarrow\sqrt[3]{xy}=-5 and x y = 125 xy=-125
