A social worker often goes on long trips to different places. A postman came to deliver an important letter last Wednesday, but he soon realized that he had again gone traveling. Meanwhile, he noticed a few things at his door: bottles of milk; Sunday's newspaper; a gift box; a catalog; some flyers; an unopened letter and A notice saying, "I'm leaving with James to his Residence". Who is James?

It's trivial to note that James can't be the social worker, as the social worker wrote the notice that he is leaving with James.
Since there are 2 bottles of milk at the door, the social worker must have left on Monday with James in the morning, to ensure 2 bottles of milk left for Tuesday and Wednesday. Now, James can't deliver those milk bottles as he was with the social worker. So, he is not the Milkman.
Also, James can't be his friend, as there was a gift box at the door, which means, his friend already left it when the social worker along with James was not at home.
Similarly, James can't be the Postman, as there was an unopened letter, which means that it was already delivered by the postman when they weren't at home.
Hence, James must be the Newspaper Boy because the Postman only found Sunday's newspaper, which makes it certain that the newspaper for Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday wasn't delivered by James as he had gone with the social worker.
