A long straight conductor carrying carrying current I is kept fixed horizontally. What is the nature of the equilibrium of another conductor carrying current I' and placed parallel to the 1st one (I) ?

Stable for all cases Stable if direction of I' is opposite as of I and kept above 1st one Unstable for all cases Unstable if direction of I' is same as of I and kept under 1st one
