The image shows a regular hexagon which means all sides are equal i.e-24(perimeter)/6(no. of sides)=4 So each side of the hexagon measures 4 units. As the side of the hexagon and that of the equilateral triangle is same both are equal and two sides of the equilateral measures 8 units (4+4) Therefore perimeter of the figure =4+8+4+8+4+8=36

Since the hexagon is regular, if perimeter = 24 24 cm, one side is 24 6 = 4 \frac{24}{6} =4 cm. Since the triangles are equilateral, one side of triangle = one side of hexagon. Hence one side of big triangle = 3 × 3\times side of regular hexagon. Then perimeter of big triangle = 3 × 3 × 3\times 3\times side of regular hexagon = 9 × 9\times side of regular hexagon = 9 × 4 = 36 9\times 4 = \boxed{36} cm.
