My dad's present age is 3 more than 4 times of my present age. If 3 years ago my dad's age was square of my age at that time then what is my dad's present age ?

Let son's present age be x. Thus, father's present age is 4x+3. 3 years ago, father's age was 4x.and son's age was x-3. thus, according to the condition in ques.
4x=(x-3)^2 x^2-10x+9=0 x=9 or x=1 substituting these values in 4x+3 we get two answers 39 and 7. since fathers age can't be 7. therefore his age is39.
