A landlord decided to give daily 1/7 part of a golden biscuit to his servant for seven days. but he allow to cut the golden biscuit in to only three parts . how will you cut and what are the three parts? write three parts numerator.

cut the biscuit into three parts such that 1/7,2/7 and 4/7. so that the first day give him 1/7 and the next day get back the 1/7 and give the 2/7. now for the third day give 1/7 and for the fourth day get back the 1/7 & 2/7 and give 4/7. for the fifth day again give 1/7 &for 6th day get back the 1/7 and give 2/7 and finally for the seventh day give the 1/7.
day 1: 1/7
day 2: 2/7 (get back 1/7)
day 3: give 1/7 ( i.e. 1/7 + 2/7)
day 4: get back 1/7 & 2/7 and give 4/7
day 5: give 1/7 ( i.e. 4/7 +1/7)
day 6: get back 1/7 and give 2/7 ( i.e. 4/7 + 2/7)
Day 7: give back that 1/7 (i.e. 6/7+1/7)
