1. f ( x y ) = x f ( y ) 2. f ( 1 ) = 25 \mathbf{1.} f(xy)=xf(y) \\ \mathbf{2.} f(1)=25

What is the value of f ( 79 ) f(79) ?

Put y = 1 y=1 we get, f ( x ) = x f ( 1 ) = 25 x f(x)=xf(1)=25x .

So, f ( 79 ) = 25 79 = 1975 f(79)=25*79=\boxed{1975}
