Primes less than 50 50 are 2 , 3 , 5 , 7 , 11 , 13 , 17 , 19 , 23 , 29 , 31 , 37 , 41 , 43 , 47 2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13, 17, 19, 23, 29, 31, 37, 41, 43, 47 .

Notice there are 11 11 possibilities for the 2-digit prime and because 3 out of the 11 possibilities meet the requirement, thus 3 11 \frac{3}{11} is the correct answer.
