A doctor had given each of his patients 2 pills and a glass of water to drink. He told his patients that there is a poisonous pill and a neutral pill. He also told them that they should take the pill with the glass of water. All of his patients died. How is this so?

There is a 50% chance that a patients died but if all of them died it could be affected by the third thing he told them to take the glass of water and this third condition is the cause for certain death.
