let the no. of deers be x then, no. of peacocks =80-x. Total no. of legs of deers = 4x (deer has 4 legs) Total no. of legs of peacocks = 2(80-x) (a peacock has 2 legs) = 160-2x total no. of legs = 200 (given) therefore, 4x+160-2x =200 2x=200-160 =40 x=40/2 = so total no. of deers =x 20 &total no. of peacocks= 80-20=60 therefore, the answer is 60
