Dice and Coin

Moon throws a coin and rolls a dice. She wins £10 if the upper surface of the coin lands on its head or if a "6" is obtained on the dice ( or both ) . What is the probability of her winning £10?

5/12 1/2 2/3 3/4 7/12

She wins in the following three cases: 1) head and a non-six 2) tail and a six 3) head and a six Since the two outcomes are independent, the resultant probability is: (1/2) x ( 5/6 + 1/6 + 1/6 )

We can consider head of the coin to be constant and fix the numbers of the dice to be variables. WE get six probabilities and likewise we consider tail constant and fix numbers to be variables. We get another six probabilities. In total we get 12 probabilities and out of those six of them are heads and onev of them is a tail and a six. We get 7/12 chance
