A clever troll owns a bridge and can impose conditions on anyone who crosses it. A poor farmer came to cross the bridge. Sensing his opportunity the troll imposed conditions on the farmer who crossed the bridge.

  • Condition 1: After the farmer crossed the bridge the troll would double up the cash that the farmer had.
  • Condition 2: After the doubling process 40$ has to be paid as fee for passing the bridge.

Poor farmer after crossing the third time ran out of money and realized that he was tricked. How much did he have in the beginning?

The Farmer was tricked thus it is evident that he would have less amount than 40 $ which is the fee The remaining options are to be simply substituted

Or you may go in depth by creating a linear equation in 1 variable and then solve it. Its up to u of course
