There is no most common digit since the digits 0 and 1 appear an equal number of times. Each will appear 16 times per hour in the minutes places, as well as for 12 times per day in the hours digits. 2 must appear less frequently, since it only appears in the hours digits 8 times. 3 and 4 appear only 3 times the hours digits, 5 appears only twice in the hours digits, and 6-9 appear twice in the hours digits and only appear 6 times in the minutes digits.
