Better way to solve it by drawing it on cartesian coordinate. Firstly,move 13km in y-axis,and by turning 135deg means, make an angle of 45deg clockwise the length is total 25sqrt2 means.13sqrt2 in above x-axis and 12sqrt2 in negative x-axis.then the perpendicular length of point from x-axis is 12. And from there again turn 135deg means just move to the west 20 km.then the distance from y-axis is 5km.Finally, we get (12^2+5^2=13).
