The car moves round the circle five times and stops 1.5m from its starting point along the track. Tracing a line from its starting point to where it stopped along the circumference forms a chord bounded by an arc(0.5) ∅/360* 2πr=perimeter of arc 90/360 2 3.142*r=0.5 r=0.318m
Using Pythagorean theorem 0.318²+0.318²=D² D=0.45m
