Distributed Resistance

A wire in the shape of a unit-circle is inscribed within a square wire. Both wires have 1 Ω 1 \Omega of resistance per unit length.

The circular wire is electrically connected to the square wire at all four points of tangency.

Determine the equivalent resistance (to 2 decimal places) between the top and bottom tangent points (marked "A" and "B").

The answer is 0.88.
