10 1 2 = 10 × 2 = 20 20 + 15 = 35 35 1 4 = 35 × 4 = 140 \dfrac{10}{\frac{1}{2}} = 10 × 2 = 20\\ 20 + 15 = 35\\ \dfrac{35}{\frac{1}{4}} = 35 × 4 = \color{#69047E}{\boxed{140}} .

Following PEDMAS (Parentheses, Exponents, Division, Multiplication, Addition, and Subtraction) we must first do what is inside the Parentheses.

10 / 1 2 \frac{1}{2} + 15

= 10 x 2 1 \frac{2}{1} + 15

= (20 + 15) / 1 4 \frac{1}{4}

= 35 / 1 4 \frac{1}{4}

= 35 x 4 1 \frac{4}{1}

= 140
