x = y 16 x=\sqrt { \frac { y }{ 16 } }

4 = y 16 4=\sqrt { \frac { y }{ 16 } }

16 = y 16 16=\frac { y }{ 16 }

256 = y 256=y

y x = 256 4 = 252 y-x=256-4=252

As per the statement of the question, the difference is to be taken between x and y i.e. x-y=? Nowhere is it mentioned to calculate (y-x) or to calculate the absolute value of (x-y).

Hello,

As it is stated that ,

x = ( y / 16 ) ^ (0.5), as x = 4 ,

By squaring both sides,

you will get y = 16( 4 ^2) = 256 ,

as the , difference = y - x = ?

Thanks....
