What is the magnetic nature and bond order of C X 2 \ce {C2} if 2s and 2p mixing is not allowed. Let it be c c & d d respectively.

Diamagnetic - 3

If 2s and 2p mixing is not allowed then electronic configuration (molecular ) is used of that of >=14 electrons so by this B2 is diamagnetic with bond order 1....and C2 is paramagnetic with bond order 2

Our sir says upon mixing of 2s and 2p the energy of sigma 2pz increases ,,hence the configure followed
