If a doctor gives you 3 pills and tells you to take one pill every half hour, how long would it take before all the pills had been taken?

Doctor said to take 3 pills. So we take 1 pills now, the second pill after 30 minutes and the 3rd pill after 1hour.

Then the pills will be over by 1 hour .

So, the answer is $\boxed{1 hour}$ .

In between 3 pills the time gap is only 30 minutes. So its only $\boxed{1 hour}$ .

I answered an hour and a half, because the question doesn't say he took one then, only that he will take them every half hour.
