To convert degrees Celsius (C) to degrees Fahrenheit (F), the following equation is used:

F = 9 5 C + 32 F = \frac 95 C + 32

For what temperature value are C and F identical?

We want to find where F = C

C = (9/5)C + 32

(-4/5)C = 32

C = -40

It took me two minutes to figure this question out because I forgot to tell myself to put F=C. Oh I am slow.
