Multiplication and division are done left to right, not multiplication first.
The way it was written answer is 1. (6/2)(1+2) is 9. 6/2(1+2) implies that 2(1+2) is the divisor.

That's what I thought, since 2(1+2) is treated as one term
The way it was written was flawed and should not have been used at all.
If we try to solve using precedence we Will get 1+2=3 and 6/2=3. So 3(3)=9
Just needed to mention that instead of "If the answer is O N L Y one number like..." you can simply say if the answer is a single digit.(What you said is W R O N G btw xD)
