One hour consists of 60 60 minutes. We need to find how many minutes are there in 0.25 0.25 hours.

1 h = 60 m 0.25 h = x m x = 0.25 × 60 1 = 15 1 h = 60 m \\ 0.25 h = x m \\ \therefore x=\dfrac{0.25\times 60}{1} \\ = \boxed{15}

One hour = 60 minutes. Half of one hour = 30 Which one is 50% of the 60 minute (count 60 minute as 100%) Half of the 30 minutes = 15 ''Because 50%'s half is 25%.''

0.25 h = 0.25 * 60 min = 15 min

First, we convert 0.25 = 1 4 0.25 = \frac{1}{4}

Then, we convert 1 1 hour = 60 60 minutes

To find how many minutes are in 0.25 of an hour, we will take 0.25 × 1 0.25 \times 1 (hour) = 1 4 × 60 \frac{1}{4} \times 60 (minutes) = 15 15 minutes.
