Aren't these all line segments, not lines? I said 0 at first.

I too thought that these are line segments and typed zero at first.

Thanks. I've edited the problem accordingly. Those who answered 0 have been marked correct.

In future, if you spot any errors with a problem, you can “report” it by selecting "report problem" in the “dot dot dot” menu in the lower right corner. This will notify the problem creator who can fix the issues.

Pull up image in paint. Erase one line with the eraser, that is one line. Erase line 2......ect. total is 11 lines.

You are right Raghav that's the easiest way to do it.

Count d i a g o n a l U P \boxed {diagonal UP} lines and then d i a g o n a l D O W N \boxed {diagonalDOWN} lines. Add them to get the result.

Counted intersections and added 1 to each to get the number of line segments... After i got it wrong, i thought the question may be just about the number of line segments, not segments on each of them.

Count the number of ends and divide by 2. Its the easiest way.
