Double trouble

A room is fully piled up with two colors of Gloves such that if we take out any number of gloves it will be a combination of both colors . What is the minimum number of gloves which has to be taken out so that you can wear the same color of gloves in both the hands?

Assume that you are unable to see the colors of the gloves. So you can't just see and pick up the gloves. After you have removed the gloves only then can you see the gloves.

The answer is 3.

The answer is 3 as out of the three you can put the two gloves in your hand. And put the third glove again back in the room.

Suppose the gloves are of colors X and Y

Take out one glove - Let's say it has the color X

Take out another glove - there's a 50% chance it will have the color X and another 50% chance it has the color Y. Let's say the color of this glove is Y.

Take out a third glove. At this point, either color of glove guarantees that you will be able to have 2 gloves with the same color - either XX or YY
