Doubling chances
Imagine having a bag with 100 marbles. If there is only 1 red marble, and the rest are blue marbles, you have a 1% chance of getting a red marble by random. If you have 2 red marbles, you have doubled your chances.
If you have 98 red marbles (2 blue marbles) and replace 1 blue marble with another red marble, have you doubled your chances of getting a red marble from the bag?

...whereas the chances of getting a blue marble halves (2% to 1%)
