Drop the Ball
I would like to test the strength of a type of ball. I am at a 100 floor building and I know that if I drop the ball at Floor X or any floor above, the ball will break. If I drop the ball at a floor lower than Floor X then the ball will not break. How many tries will it take to determine Floor X? (Assume an infinite supply of balls)
