What some guys would think is that half the pond would be covered in half the time , so,they write 2 4 8 = 2 4 .
But in this process the exponential growth of the lily pads. So, we try working it from the back. if the pond is fully covered after 4 8 days, and they double in size daily, on the 4 7 t h , it would be half covered. The correct answer is 4 7 days.
