Dylan's Distinct Integers
I told Dylan the difference between two distinct integers in between 1 and 10 inclusive, but I did not tell him what those two integers were.
However, Sam immediately knows what those two numbers are, and he correctly told me the sum as well.
What is the sum?

The only unique difference is 9, so the numbers must be 10 and 1 and their sum 11.
