We would have to wait a long time as one part would be needed to make another part and this exponential increases until we have a massive amount of energy on our hands which would be good for humanity.

yes but humans are sensitive to there environment so that means they will be the biggest problem but I can see were the energy to get stuff up there will also be a challenge.

Mercury has the perfect conditions for launch! low gravity, almost no atmosphere and close to the sun. Plus If we mine materials from Mercury It would make it easier for launch. This is especially helpful if we launch the Dyson sphere in small pieces. a swarm of solar panels should do it. The problem is getting the materials without ruining the system of the planets!
