The first thing you can calculate is Z because 2 * Z = 12 Z = 6, Y + Z(6) = 16 Y = 10, 2 * X = Y(10) X = 5. \text{The first thing you can calculate is Z because 2 * Z = 12 Z = 6, Y + Z(6) = 16 Y = 10, 2 * X = Y(10) X = 5. } The trick is squaring Y. I first thought to square Y by itself and got a large number which was incorrect and then I found the solution \text{The trick is squaring Y. I first thought to square Y by itself and got a large number which was incorrect and then I found the solution} Y 2 = 1 0 2 = 100 Y^{2} = 10^{2} = 100 .

The solution is 2Z = 12 so Z = 6 Z+Y=16. We know Z=6 So 16-6 = 10. So Y=10. 10 Squared is 100!
