The order of operations dictate that you multiply before you add. Therefore, you perform 2 ⋅ 2 2\cdot2 before you perform 2 + 2 2+2 . 2\cdot2=4, and you then add \(2 to get 4 + 2 = ∗ ∗ 6 ∗ ∗ 4+2=**6**
