f ( 3 ) = 3 3 7 ( 3 ) = 27 21 = 6 = 6 f(3) = |3^3 - 7(3)| = |27 - 21| = |6| = \boxed{6}

It is really a straight forward solution, i like the procedure

f ( 3 ) = 3 ³ 7 3 ) = 3 ( 3 ² 7 ) = 3 ( 9 7 ) = 3 2 = 3 2 = 6 f(3)=|3³-7*3)|= 3*(|3²-7|)=3*(|9-7|)=3*|2|=3*2=6

It is a simplified and factorised version, love that.
