Why is ADE similar to ABC?

Recall that the median of a triangle is always half of the length in the base. In this case, BC is 6, right? So BC divided by 2 is 3.

BD bisects AC , CE bisects AB and we know that AE is half of AC then AB is congruent with AC the triangle ADE is equilateral as well as triangle ABC since all angle measure 60 degrees then from the first two sentences AE=AD=ED=3cm
