We are walking along the street when we saw a P10-peso coin. Since I was the one who saw the coin, my share should be P1-peso more than your share. How much is my share?

Let's say your friend's amount of money is x , and your amount of money is y . You can make the equation x + y = 10 . Then, set up another equation, y = x + 1 . You can substitute y for the first equation, resulting in x + (x+1) = 10. You can solve for that resulting in, 2x + 1 = 10. Then you would get 2x = 9. x would equal 4.5. But, that is your friend's share. Your share is 10-4.5 = 5.5 . So, your share is 5.5 pesos.
