8 = 2 × 4 8 = x × 0 x = 8 0 = Undefined 8 = 2 \times 4\\ 8 = x \times 0\\ x = \dfrac{8}{0} = \text{Undefined}

Therefore, there is No solution \boxed{\text{No solution}}

Note: you can't divide both sides by zero, so you should have just multiplied out x x and 0 0 in order to get that 8 = 0 8=0 .
