1 child ------ 1 candy --------- 2 minutes

'100 children eat 300 candies' means : 1 child will eat 3 candies, so:

so the equation is :

1 candy / child = 2 minutes 300 candies / 100 children= 3 candies per child 3 x 2 = 6 minutes Or (300 candies / 100 children) x (1child/1candy)× 2 minutes = 6 minutes The rate is a child can eat candy at a rate of 2 minutes per candy There are 300 candies divided by 100 children so 3 candies each child since a child can eat 2 minutes per candy if 100 children eat together at the same time..3 candies x 2 minutes per candy is 6 minutes.

One child needs 2min to eat 1 candy, so 100 children need 2min to eat 100 candies. It means that 100 children can eat 300 candies in 3*2min = 6min.

1 child can eat the candy in 2 mins= 1 child can eat 1/2 candy in 1 min. 100 children can eat 100/2=50 candies in 1 min. Thus to eat 300 candies 100 children take total candies/no of candies that can be eaten in 1 min =300/50 = 6

If 1 child can eat 1 candy in 2 minutes then 100 children can eat 100 candies in 2 minutes. But we are wondering about 100 (×3) = 300 candies. So we have 2(×3) = 6 minutes.

1 child can eat a candy in 2 minutes. So it takes 300 *2= 600 minutes for one child to eat 300 candies .Assuming all the 100 children consume a candy in equal amount of time, the time taken by 100 children to eat 300 candies is 600/100 min = 6 min
