An animal is either a vegetarian, a carnivore, or an omnivore.
The ratio of vegetarians to carnivores is 2:3.
The ratio of vegetarians to omnivores is 4:3.

What is the ratio of carnivores to omnivores?

V : C = 2 : 3
V : O = 4 : 3
Hence, (C : V) : (O : V) = (3 : 2) : (3 : 4); since 3:2 = 1.5 and 3 : 4 = 0.75, the ratio of the left-hand side to the right-hand side is equal to 2:1 and since in both cases the denominator (V) is equal, this is the final result.

Can you explain how you get that C : O = 4 * 3 : 2 * 3? Were you cross multiplying ratios?
