Electric potential of water droplets

1000 spherical water droplets, each of radius r and each carrying a charge q, coalesce to form a single bigger spherical drop. If v is the electric potential of each droplet and V that of bigger drop, then find V/v

Electric potential of the bigger spherical drop = V = q 1000 k 10 r V = q \cdot\frac {1000k}{10r} where q is the charge of the spherical water droplet.

Electric potential of the water dropplet = v = k q r v = \frac{kq}{r} \Rightarrow

V v = 100 \frac{V}{v} = 100
